Our Prophet ﷺ:
An Illuminating Light

Over 1400 hundred years ago, when the state of humanity fell to its lowest, life was infused with cultural customs that had become the norm, and what was correct was deemed to be incorrect. The horizon was filled with darkness, penetrating across the globe and in many walks of life.
A metamorphous of this state was the essential ingredient to save humanity from the depths of this despair. Alhamdulillah through Allah’s سبحانه وتعالى infinite mercy, He bestowed upon us a huge blessing, the birth of His beloved, no other than Muhammad Ibn Abdullah, صلى الله عليه وسلم.
His birth in the month of RabiulAwwal signified the beginning of a new era, an era to be filled with a new hope and a spiritual radiant light. This was no ordinary human being, created from the dust of Jannah (Paradise), purity emanated from him صلى الله عليه وسلم. Allah’s سبحانه وتعالى chosen Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم , the leader of the prophets, had a mammoth task that lay ahead of him: The reformation of the dead hearts of both Human and Jinn.
He was the being that was appointed to become that spiritual guide to all those who had lost their ways. He was to become that source of comfort and solace for those in despair. He would become the voice of the weak and destitute.

Allah, سبحانه وتعالى, mentions in the Quran:
وَمَآ أَرۡسَلۡنَـٰكَ إِلَّا رَحۡمَةً۬ لِّلۡعَـٰلَمِينَ
And we have not sent you except as a mercy for all the worlds (21.107)

One night, alone and inside the dark cave of Hira, his appointment of seal of prophet was made, he became the Prophet of Allah سبحانه وتعالى. who was mercy to the worlds. In the darkness, he was commanded to read by Hazrat Gibraeel عليه السلام. Despite his plea of being an ummi (peace be upon him), the command required to be followed. He was the chosen one to absorb the radiant light of His Lord and, the first few ayahs of Surah Alaq were revealed.

Read with the name of your Lord , Who created (everything)He created man from a clot of blood, Read and your lord is most generous , Who imparted knowledge by means of a pen, He taught Man what he did not know

This was an overwhelming experience for the Prophets. Frightened, he sought shelter and comfort from his beloved wife, Sayyidah Khadijah رضي الله عنها, a beautiful lady of wisdom, who reminded him that:

By Allah, Allah will never disgrace you . You keep good relations with your kith and kin, help the poor and the destitute, serve your guests generously and assist deserving- calamity afflicted ones. (Sahih al-Bhukari)

He was the chosen prophet, that was required for the reformation of the society.
The message of Allah سبحانه وتعالى was to reach those near and far. His mission was to preach the message of Islam. The Prophet’s صلى الله عليه وسلم, close relatives began to shun him. Those that once listened to him and trusted him and called him Al Amin and As Sadiq, disowned him for one statement: La ila ha illal-la (There is no God but Allah) for his صلى الله عليه وسلم call to the message of worshiping one God. The concept of life after death and accountability of one’s deeds was incomprehensible to many, and their hearts failed to take heed to the warnings sent by Allah سبحانه وتعالى.
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم underwent onslaught of attacks, physical and verbal abuse, and ridicule at the hands of his own flesh and blood in Makkah. Despite this, he continued to call others to Islam, but again and again, his messages fell on the deaf ears of the leaders of the Quraish and all those that denied him. Then with a glimmer of hope, he turned to Taif, perhaps someone may accept the call. However, he was rejected, abused, jeered at, chased and stoned. Having left this place bruised and hurt, trying to collect the blood from falling onto the ground. Not wanting any harm to come to those people, he took shelter and pleads to his Lord, worried about his weakness:

“Ya Allah I complain to you of my weakness and my lack of resources and my loneliness before people, Oh most merciful of those who show mercy,

You are the lord of the weak, and you are my rabb,

Are you giving me to those who will misuse me, or an enemy to whom you have given power over me,

If you are not angry with me Ya Allah I do not care what happens to me

But Ya Allah I am weak I need protection.

Ya Allah I take refuge in the light of your countenance for which all darkness’s illuminated, and the things of this world and the next are rightly ordered, that I should incur your wrath, or that you should be displeased with me, I wish to please you until you are pleased and there is no power and there is no might except in you.”
(alMujam al Kabeer li Tabarani)

Despite such heartaches and difficulties his quality of forgiveness shined through. Then his صلى الله عليه وسلم journey took him to Medina, where he صلى الله عليه وسلم continued displaying tolerance and good will with humanity. He صلى الله عليه وسلم was the beautiful Prophet chosen for this unique mission and the role model for the universe.

Allah ta’ala mentions in the Quran:
لَّقَدۡ كَانَ لَكُمۡ فِى رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ أُسۡوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ۬
There is indeed a good model for you in the Messenger of Allah (33.21)

This was the perfect example to Humanity. Through his struggles and hardships, he صلى الله عليه وسلم began to change and reform the thinking of the society by the Will of Allah سبحانه وتعالى. The weak and the poor found shelter in him. He صلى الله عليه وسلم became that voice for the orphans and widows.
The jistof hadith :
The Prophet said :I and the one who looks after an orphan will belike this in Paradise “ (Showing his index and middle finger and separating them) (Sahih Al Bukhri) سبحانه وتعالى

His صلى الله عليه وسلم mission became complete, and light began to shine , filling the horizon as a new era had begun with the new laws of islam. The belief in one God and being good to fellow human beings. He صلى الله عليه وسلم had worked arduously to reform the dead hearts so that they can be saved from the ultimate doom.
His صلى الله عليه وسلم life was of endless sacrifice for Humanity and even at the time of his departure from this world, he cried for his Ummattee, Ummatee, Ummatee (My nation).
Peace and blessing be upon you, O Prophet.
May our lives be sacrificed for you O'Dear Prophet. Peace be upon you!
